WHY?

Functional Appliances can be defined as fixed or removable appliances that change the relationship between mandible and maxilla by creating forces on the dentition and underlying structures with the help of acrylic or wire configurations.

TWIN BLOCK

Class II malocclusions are one of the most common anomalies in orthodontics. During the growth and development period; Class II Div. Functional orthopedic treatments are frequently applied in patients with 1 malocclusion. One of the widely used removable functional appliances.

 

Twin-block appliance; It provides the forward movement of the mandible together with two separate acrylic plates, the lower and upper jaw.

Compared to other functional appliances; smaller, no visible acrylic in the anterior region, minimally affecting speech, etc. It is often preferred because of its advantages. Many skeletal, dental and soft tissue effects of twin-block treatment are seen.

MONO BLOCK

Monoblock: Class II malocclusions are among the most common anomalies. During the growth and development period;

 

Class II Div. Functional orthopedic treatments are frequently applied in patients with 1 malocclusion.

 

Monoblock appliance, which is one of the widely used movable functional appliances, consists of a single piece of acrylic covering the lower and upper jaws and thus provides forward movement of the mandible. .

BIONATOR

It is used to stimulate the development of the mandible in cases of deep bite. The expansion of the dental arch can be achieved by adding a screw to the upper jaw. Since the acrylic volume is less, it is more comfortable for the patient to use.
